MYSL Update - January 7, 2011
Coaches,
Happy New Year! We wish all of you a happy and healthy 2011.
~Try Outs
Please see attached flyer for our 2011 try-outs. The process begins on 2/28 and runs for 3 week-ends. We will be sending an invitation to all of the parents and ask that you encourage them to bring their players.
~College Night for U14 and Up!
We will be holding our second annual college night on Feburary 25. You will see more information in the coming weeks, but please mention to those players that are in the above age groups to hold the date open. (Again, we will be sending this information directly to the parents and ask that you encourage them to participate.)
~Spring League
Please note that PAL has drastically increased their fees for the Spring League. As a result, MYSL is not able to completely cover the costs of this program. Teams that wish to participate in PAL will be reimbursed $35 per player. (Our understanding is that the fees from PAL are $65 per player.)
-U8 - U10
Teams in this bracket may play in the PAL League (MYSL will reimburse $35/player.) Another option is to play in the South San Francisco League. MYSL is able to cover all costs for this option, but it is important to note that this league will be co-ed, so girls teams would be matched against boys teams.
-U11 - U14
Teams in this bracket are encouraged to play in the Vikigns Upper League. MYSL will cover all costs.
-U15 and Up
Teams in the bracket are encouraged to play in the CCSL. MYSL will cover all costs except the ref fees.
Please let us know where you will register by January 15 so we can assist with the registration, etc.

~2011 Coaching Clinics (from Vikings League)
We have set dates for F, E, and E/D coaching clinics and want you to be aware of them. You can find all of the information listed below here as well: http://www.sfvikings.com/training/2011winterclinics.htm
Click the link on the clinic you wish to sign up for and register. Once you have registered, remember to send in your payment to secure your spot.
E/D licensing clinics will also be held in early February. Please check the website for exact dates if you have completed your prerequisitecourses and wish to acquire E/D certification.
All Vikings rec teams are required to have at least one registered F-licensed coach on the field for every game. PAL Spring League requires TWO F-licensed coaches per team.
If you already have your F license, you may take the clinic for the E license, but the E-license is not required unless you will be coaching Upper House.*
