~Congratulations
Many of our teams went to tournaments this past week-end and did very well. Congratulations to White 99 - 3rd place, White 98 - 4th place, Chivas USA - 3rd place.

Good luck to teams going to District 2 Cup and the Halloween Tournaments!

~SAT Test Dates
The SAT test dates this year are October 9, November 6, and December 4. If your team has a lot of players taking the test and you have to have a game rescheduled, please contact Mr. Guzman right away.

~Winter Practice
Teams that are participating in Cup Play (State Cup, Association Cup, President's Cup, Founders Cup) may apply for winter practice fields.

Teams that are interested in playing CCSL in the Winter, please check their website and let Mr. Guzman know right away. These teams may also be able to get Winter practice fields.

~Vikings Update
Dear Primary Team Contacts/Coaches,

The season continues to progress with very few issues. Teams are behaving, reporting scores, and cleaning up after themselves. Thanks and keep it up!!

Be Kind to the Youth Referees
This is the first week that the newer youth refs will be out there with no mentors. Please remember that we are trying to train and develop our youth referees in the same way that you are trying to train and develop your players. Our referees will make mistakes. They will forget the rules. They will make bad calls. Do not confront or criticize the referee during or after the game. If you would like to comment on a referee’s performance, please provide us feedback in your game report or by sending us an e-mail at the office. When you provide us written comments, we can help our referees become better. When parents and coaches confront referees on the field, they quit.

Golden Gate Park (Travel Issues)
We want to remind teams that are playing at the Beach Chalet or traveling through Golden Gate Park that this weekend is the Bluegrass Festival. Parking will be difficult. Please leave extra time to get to games at this field.

~Juventas Coppa d'Oro - December 11/12, 2010
Hello,

On behalf of Juventus SC I invite you to consider participating in the 3rd Annual Coppa d'Oro tournament that will take place on Decemeber 11 and 12 in Redwood City.

A Silver/Bronze tournament open to U8 through U14 Boys and Girls, the event is a good opportunity to keep your teams going during the winter season.

All the games will be played on high quality artificial turf fields - weather will not impact the schedule.
